Jack Mangelsdorf is a Lacrosse Hall of Fame Champion. He was part of the inaugural class of Hall of Famers in San Diego. In 2006, he was one of the original members recognized for his contribution to the sport in San Diego.

Before viewing the 10-minute promotional flick, titled "This is Lacrosse", most of the students had never heard of the game.
