SEO expert consultants don't have a very easy task on their hands, that is, designing SEO friendly web pages. No matter what anyone tells you, SEO is not something one can learn in one day. Learning the basics of SEO web design may actually take months for the simple reason that the rules keep changing very often. As a subject, SEO is ever - changing, dynamic, highly misunderstood and time - consuming. Creating a website that does not only appeal to visitors making them stay on the site longer, but also search engine friendly is tough. There are a few technical aspects all SEO expert consultants should keep in mind if they want to excel in their field and make their clients happy.

JavaScript is SEO friendly: One of the first tools required in SEO web design is JavaScript. But anytime this technology is touched, treading carefully is important. This is because no matter the many amazing things that can be done with it, they may actually lead to problems. Ajax is not SEO friendly as it does not run very well on search engines. So when a web page uses it, the content does not get rendered or indexed by the search engine's bots. For this, jQuery can be used, though if not executed properly, it may also create problems. For instance, the page created may have no title or link. So doing thorough research and learning what works and what does not is important.

The # sign: The hash sign # can be an extremely powerful tool in the hands of a good SEO expert consultant. The greatness of the sign is that search engines do not consider it as being unique and hence decide to actually ignore it's existence. Which is great! So, it is possible for the designer to bunch many pages of the website together with different variations of the hash sign and the bots consider is as one single page and index it that way.

CSS image replacement: Google has categorically stated that websites which contain hidden texts and links which are deceptive in intent may be removed from Google index and will not appear in search results. So trying to fool Google is something that is not professional SEO web design behaviour. Using CSS image replacement not only makes web pages SEO friendly, but also enhances the visual experience. Using CSS to stuff keywords and manipulate with hidden content is not what SEO expert consultants do.

Use Flash, but with care: Most SEO expert consultants will tell you that using Flash is a bad idea. But it is also known that Flash is now being crawled by search engines. The basic things that one should keep in mind are not to use Flash for navigation, not to make an entire site in one page and not to put important very important content in Flash. Using Flash for design purposes is fine, but using it too much is bad SEO web design.
